RAT RACE FOR THE EPL TOP FOUR

The race for who finishes in the Premier League top four is sure to go down to the last day of the season, as not much points separate the third-placed team from the sixth-placed team.

All teams involved; Leicester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Wolves cannot afford to lose concentration at this stage of the season.

The Foxes who are placed third are only seperated from Wolves in sixth by six points with few games left to play. Looking at the remaining fixtures for all the teams involved, it is succinctly clear to see that any slip-up would be punished by the other teams involved in the race for Europe’s premier competition.

Judging by their remaining games left to be played, we can assume that Manchester United have a more favourable fixture list than the rest of the teams involved in the race for the top four.

Starting with Leicester, Brendan Rodger’s men continue their chase for a top four finish by playing a resurgent Arsenal who will be coming off the back of a morale boosting win against Wolves. Arsenal themselves are priced at 66/1 by Betvictor to finish in the top four.

And there is Sheffield United who after their promotion have been a composed and resilient side to face. Tottenham also have the luxury of brilliant players as well as the expertise of a certain Jose Mourinho. Picking up an Europa League spot wouldn’t look bad for them perhaps, after the troubles of a tedious campaign.

Another tough team for Leicester will be the Red Devils who they are perhaps, in a direct competition for the top four race. Surely, everything points to the fact that there will be all to play for on the final day of the season. However, the Foxes are priced at a slim 5/6 odds by William Hill to finish in the top four.

Chelsea on the other hand, will have to navigate themselves through Crystal Palace on Tuesday night, tricky opposition on their day, but the more harder matches will be against Sheffield who they played out a 2-2 draw against earlier this season.

Lying in wait also will be Liverpool at Anfield, a side who though have nothing to play for, will be playing for pride which will mean alot to them having been beaten by Chelsea in the FA Cup. Chelsea are priced at odds of 1/3 by BetVictor to make the top 4.

Manchester United themselves are also favoured to make the top-four but will have to navigate themselves through Aston Villa, Southampton, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Leicester City. Every of these teams bar Leicester may not be able to match the firepower of United’s flourishing attack, needless to say they are all winnable games for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side.

Currently on a 16-match unbeaten run, United should have little problem seeing out the rest of their games. They are priced at 4/11 with Unibet to grab a top four finish.

Wolves can not be ruled out just yet even after losing their last game against Arsenal. They will need a flawless finish to overhaul rivals for the top four though, and that will be unprecedented if it happens.
